Medal of Honor
Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest award a military member can recieve. There have been over 40 million people who served since 1776, only 3519 have received it. 60 are still alive. And only one woman ever received it. There are three versions, Army, Navy and Airforce. The award is consider to be such an honor that it is custom and expected that regardless of the persons rank who wears it, They are to be saluted. Most of the Presidents themselves have saluted these members.
