What about the other side?

Does anyone ever question the other side of any topic any more? By question I dont mean argue. People argue all the time and many times neither side actually has any real point.

 Does anyone ever look at whats being said vs. the actions.

 When someone is giving advise on a subject to look at their record.

 Someone giving boxing advise, do you look at their wins, loses, training of others or do you just except they are knowledgable because they talk alot.

 When someone is giving bike riding lessons, do you look at what he is riding, where he has rode.

 When people are putting others down about the equipment they ride or use, do you look to see what real expertise they have to judge. Many times the people they are judging will be better at the topic than they are. 

 Many companies talk about being part of a team supporting the top, the top supporting down, when in reality, they will cut you loose in a minute and call it just business. 

 When you hear the word toxic do you think about just managers? What about poor employees. 

 

 When you hear two people got in a fight, do you hear what happened, what led to it, what caused it. Or do you just accept the first story that comes out.

 When someone takes on a job and makes promises for completion, do you take the promises at face value or do you check into the person's reputation for completion. 

 When voting does everyone just look at social media or do they actually check voting records. Check the history of beginning to end for a bill or law. Where it started, who fought for it or do we just look at who happened to sign it.

 When did it become so normal to accept what ever is said and not stand for what is right. 

 Its not about any one subject, its about being someone who makes decisions based on facts and knowledge vs. social media hype. There is too much fake news and agreement with who ever screams the loudest.

 So borrow a line from Ted Lasso - Being curious not judgemental.
