VA, the House Committee. Whats really going on?

First I do agree with the fact that, in order to fix ssomething you have to start somewhere.

Killing a program and starting another one, that clearly matches the previous program is a tool to buy time for something that isnt working.

Fix what does work, get rid of what doesnt and buld on the existing, not destory everything and then use that as a reason to take another 50 years to repeat the same BS.

Passing more bills and guidleines and laws......ok seems like a good start.....But wait a minute, there is no money to fund what we are already doing, so where does the money come from.

Remove people and waste. Ok but did you remove the right people? Did you remove waste or just make a bunch of cuts to make it look like you did?

We keep hearing that things will get better, now we are told they are better, but reading the news, listening to the VFW, Legion and other groups, someone tell us how it is better and what is better. Because its not showing up in the facilities and other areas of the system where it is needed.

Because across the board, none of what veterans are saying they need is being brought into play.

We already know that the military, VA Claims, VA medical and VA treatment does not communicate nor share information.

We already know that there is no facilities for a large majority of veterans that doesnt require 1.5 to 4 hour drives. Community care is not supported in many areas.

So you say that the new claims process will allow for more community care evalutions. How about treatment and facility use? After the claim is approved what good is it, if you cant recieve treatment.

How about contact with a person processing the claim? Why cant a veteran have access to the people who are processing the claim. Why are VSOs denied information that is requested from the veteran. Why are Veterans being treated like wwe have no input or right to be involved in our own claim process.

Why are veterans being told that they cant receive or have the input into their treatment. Why are doctors being told that they cant treat a veteran the way they see fit. Why are we required to go thru a checklist for treatment that is recommended. Why are we denided treatment that could prevent further complications or death becasue the VA says it wont cover something because number 6 of the checklist isnt marked off.

Why isn't there members of the veterans at these meetings and in the creation of the bills and processes.

At end of day, the people speaking for us in government arent listening to what the people are asking for and want. They are directing and creating what they want for themselves.

When veterans that are in congress and senate say they wont use the program because they dont trust it, then those same people pass a bill or law and still wont use it because they dont trust it. Maybe, just maybe they never intended for all the hype and bravo to work, it was only control us for a little longer.

The facts are we still have people being denied with major injuries. going back to Vietnam and maybe a little farther. We still have claims taking 3-4 years for simple documents. We still have veterans that cant get treated or use facilities because none are available. We still have substandard staff in many facilities. We still have substandard care. we still have funding missing. We still have most of the same problems.

Here we sit still with most of the people who caused and is causing the issues still sitting in the same offices and still not delivering.

When if ever will there be some real support for veterans?
